2. Website Access and Server Log Data
When you access this website, technically necessary connection data is processed so that the website can be delivered, operated reliably and protected against misuse. Depending on the server configuration, this may include your IP address, date and time of access, the page or file requested, data volume transferred, HTTP status code, referrer URL, and browser and operating-system information.
This processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, stable and technically functional website pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Server log data is stored only for as long as necessary for technical operation, troubleshooting and protection against misuse, unless longer retention is required to investigate a specific security incident or to comply with legal obligations.
Hosting and email service providers may act as recipients or processors where this is necessary to provide the website and enable communication.
3. Contact Form and Email Inquiries
If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide in order to handle and respond to your inquiry.
The contact form may process the following data in particular:
- Name
- Company or brand, if provided
- Email address
- Subject and selected inquiry type
- Content of your message
- Technically necessary security data used to prevent spam and misuse
If your inquiry relates to a potential or existing business relationship, processing is carried out in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract or to perform a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other inquiries are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in handling incoming communications pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
The information is sent by email to office@sumo-zone.com. It is disclosed to other recipients only where this is necessary to handle the inquiry or where disclosure is required by law.
Inquiry data is deleted once the relevant communication has been concluded and no further retention is required for a potential collaboration, compliance with statutory retention obligations, or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
4. Technically Necessary Session and Form Security
The contact page uses a technically necessary PHP session solely to protect the form against abusive or automated submissions, in particular through CSRF protection and a minimum time between loading the page and submitting the form.
A technically necessary session cookie may be set for this purpose. This cookie is not used for analytics, advertising or profiling and does not contain a marketing identifier.
In addition, when the form is submitted, the IP address is not stored in plain text in the rate-limit file. Instead, a non-readable hash is generated server-side to limit automated repeat submissions. The associated timestamps are retained only briefly for abuse prevention and are automatically removed from the rate-limit storage.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in securing the contact form and preventing spam and misuse pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Cookies, Analytics and External Content
In its current technical configuration, SUMO_ZONE uses no analytics or marketing cookies, no web analytics or advertising trackers, and no externally loaded webfonts.
For the “High-Reach Shorts” section, videos are embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com. The players are loaded lazily and do not autoplay. When a player is loaded or used, technical connection data such as your IP address, browser information and device data may be transmitted to YouTube/Google. When you actively play or interact with a video, YouTube may process additional usage data in accordance with its own privacy terms.
When you actively click a Short or another external link, you leave sumo-zone.com and the privacy policies of the respective external provider apply.
If analytics, marketing tools, social-media plugins or other non-essential third-party services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before they are used and prior consent will be obtained where legally required.
6. Your Data Protection Rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have the following rights in particular:
- Right of access to personal data processed about you
- Right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure
- Right to restriction of processing

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access and unlawful alteration. The website uses security headers, server-side input validation and safeguards against automated form abuse, among other measures.
